Katie Firestone, a friend of George, invites Nancy on a vaction to Deception Island for a whale-watching tour. When Nancy arrives she finds that Katie’s boat has been ransacked and an orphaned Orca whale has shown up in the channel. The townspeople of Snake Horse Harbor all have views on what should be done with the Orca. During one of the meetings Katie expresses her feelings that the Orca should be studied and given treatment. But is there a reason why Katie doesn’t want the Orca returned to her pod or is someone else from the town plotting a sinister plan?
